It incorporated two panes of multiple-layer Solarban60 glass, with argon gas filling to provide performance up to 65% more energy-efficient than many other types of Low-E or Med-E glass systems. ClimaTech SC's added solar control helps "beat the heat" on hot hummer days.

ClimaTech 7 is over 125% more energy-efficient than ordinary Low-E or Mid-E glass systems because it combines two panes of multiple-layer vacuum-deposition Low-E glass with an interior glass pane and two insulating chambers of argon gas. The result is a triple-pane insulating glass unit that is nearly four times more energy efficient than non-coated insulating glass. And, because all three panes are made of glass, the distortion and haze that can result in non-glass systems is eliminated.
